Free tour visit through the Old Historic Town of Santiago de Compostela.

Guided tour through the medieval street in Galicia’s capital which will covers all that is necessary to learn and find out the most important details of the city at a glance. The first part of the visit encompasses the most tourist part of the city: the different squares around the Cathedral (Obradoiro, Inmaculada, Quintana, Platerías, Fonseca) as well as, of course, the famous street “Rúa do Franco“.

The second part of the visit leads into less known places and cortes of Santiago de Compostela, as is Parque de la Alameda (point with the best views the city), hidden squares, narrow streets and the Farmer’s Fresh Market.

Besides walking the most emblematic streets in Santiago Old Town, the whole visit is full of entertaining stories that will help you understand the history of Santiago and it’s Camino, the discovery of the Apostle’s tomb and the consequent pilgrimage from all of Europe’s boundaries in addition to other curiosities related to typical elements such as the scallop shells, Saint Jame’s Cross or the Botafumeiro. We’ll see the University or the city most important characters city: Valle Inclán, Hemingway or the cherished Dos Marías.
